Test The Spirits

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the
spirits to see whether they are from God, because many
false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1
NIV).

Some people have asked how they can distinguish between false prophets and true prophets or ministers of God. Well, it’s very easy to know a true minister of God. First, a true prophet or minister of God draws people to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the Word, not to himself or to some other gods. Secondly, he walks in love. 1 John 4:8 says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” Walking in the love of Christ is very important. In addition, there has to be a consistency of the Word of God in his mouth. A true man of God doesn’t falter on the Word of God. He sticks to the Word, consistently maintaining and upholding the integrity of Word. He proves the Word, first in his own life.

Another distinctive factor of a true minister is that the things he says come to pass. Now, that’s a little tricky, because sometimes, you could have a true prophet, pastor or evangelist make a mistake and say the wrong thing. Such a mistake could arise from his over enthusiasm or expectations of those around him or even because he’s not paying attention to the Holy Spirit. This, however, doesn’t make him a false prophet.
That’s why it’s important for you to know the Word for yourself. Part of the ministry of the Spirit in your life is to teach you the Word. Rely on Him and you’ll never be deceived.

“I have written these things to you because you need to be Test the Spirits aware of those who want to lead you astray. But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you all things, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So, continue in what he has taught you, and continue to live in Christ” (1 John 2:26-27 NLT).


PRAYER
Dear Father,
your Word is a light to my path and a lamp to my feet. My steps in life are directed and ordered by you, through the Word and your Spirit. I’m positioned in the right place and at the right time for your purpose, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

AFFIRMATION ACTIVATES THE

POWER OF THE WORD

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be
content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I
will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may
boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear
what man shall do unto me (Hebrews 13:5-6).

There’re two different aspects of salvation: the legal and the vital aspects. The vital aspect of salvation is activated by your confession; it only works when you say it;
while the legal aspect requires acknowledgement. In Romans 10:9, we see the confession or affirmation principle as the very basis for salvation. It says, “…if thou shalt confess (declare, profess, announce, affirm) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved....”
Salvation only becomes real when you make the confession of the lordship of Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 12:37, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” When you confess, affirm or proclaim the lordship of Jesus Christ, you’re translated from the domain or kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of
God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13).

Affirmation of the Word is an important principle in the Kingdom of God. God has spoken His Word so that we can take that Word and affirm it boldly. That’s our faith-response to the Word. He said whatever He said that we might respond. Your confession or affirmation is that response, and it activates the power of God’s Word in your life.

Inawezekana kabisa ya kuwa wewe unayesoma ujumbe huu hujaokoka - yaani hujampokea Yesu Kristo ndani ya moyo wako kama Bwana na Mwokozi wako. Lakini sasa umeona umuhimu wa kumpokea Yesu Kristo katika maisha yako.
Naamini Roho Mtakatifu ameweka fursa hii mikononi mwako kwa mpango maalum wa Mungu ili ufike mahali pa kutubu na kuokoka. Inawezekana kabisa, pia ya kuwa hujawahi kuambiwa juu ya umuhimu wa wewe kuokoka. Lakini napenda kukuambia ya kuwa ni mpango wa Mungu uokoke. Soma Wakolosai 1:13,14 na Yohana 1:12-14 na 1 Timotheo 2:3-6 na Warumi 1:16,17 na Yohana 3:7. Ni vigumu kuona baraka za Damu ya Yesu bila ya kuokoka.

Kwa hiyo kama unataka kuokoka - tafuta Mahali palipo na Utulivu, na usome kwa sauti sala ifuatayo: (ukiweza unaweza kupiga Magoti unapoomba sala hii)

“Ee Mungu wangu ulie Mtakatifu. Ninakuja mbele zako. Mimi ni mwenye dhambi. Naomba unisamehe dhambi zangu zote nilizokukosea katika maisha yangu. Ninatubu kweli. Naomba damu ya Yesu Kristo iliyomwagika msalabani kwa ajili yangu initakase sasa katika roho yangu na nafsi yangu na mwili wangu. Nimefungua moyo wangu. Bwana Yesu Kristo nakukaribisha ndani yangu. Ingia kwa uwezo wa Roho wako – uwe Bwana na Mwokozi wangu kuanzia sasa na siku zote. Ahsante kwa kunisamehe na kwa kuniokoa. Nimejitoa kwako nikutumikie katika siku zote za maisha yangu. Shetani hana mamlaka tena juu yangu katika jina la Yesu Kristo. Amina.

Ikiwa umesoma sala hii kwa kukusudia kabisa na kwa imani, basi wewe umeokoka na dhambi zako zimesamehewa na kusahauliwa na Mungu sawasawa na alivyoandika katika neno lake. Damu ya Yesu iko juu yako sasa.
Baada ya kuokoka

Unapoanza maisha haya mapya katika Yesu Kristo nakushauri mambo yafuatayo:
1. Zungumza na Mungu kwa maombi kila siku (Yohana 15:7)
2. Soma Neno la Mungu (Biblia) kila siku (Matendo ya Mitume 17:11)
3. Mruhusu Roho Mtakatifu akutawale (Wagalatia 5:16-25; Warumi 8:14-17)
4. Umtumaini Mungu kwa kila jambo katika maisha yako (1Petro 5:7; Zekaria 4:6)
5. Usiache kukusanyika na kushirikiana na wengine waliompokea Yesu Kristo kuwa Mwokozi wao kama wewe ili uimarike zaidi (Waebrania 10:25)

Baadhi ya watu hujitathmini au kujipima kulingana na kiasi cha fedha walichonacho. Hivyo, kila wakati, wanafanya mahesabu kupitia kikokotoa (kalukuleta) ili kujua thamani yao ya kifedha.
