Maana nayajua mawazo ninayowawazia ninyi, asema Bwana, ni mawazo ya amani wala si ya mabaya kuwapa ninyi tumaini siku zenu za mwisho. —YEREMIA 29:11

Iwapo una picha mbaya binafsi kujihusu, tayari imeathiri vibaya mambo yake ya kale, lakini unaweza kuponywa na kutoruhusu ya kale kujirudia. Ninakuhimiza kusahau yaliyopita hata mambo yoyote hasi ambayo umehisi kujihusu na kujisukuma mbele kuelekea vitu ambavyo Mungu amekuwekea.

Mungu ana mpango mwema na kusudi kwa kila mmoja wetu na njia maalum na wakati mtimilifu wa kuyafanya yatimie, lakini sio sisi wote tunayaona haya. Wakati mwingi tunaishi chini ya kiwango cha maisha ambayo Mungu anakusudia tufurahie.

Kwa miaka mingi sikutumia haki na faida zangu kama mwana wa Mungu. Ingawa nilikuwa Mkristo na kuamini nitaenda mbinguni nitakapofariki, sikujua kwamba kuna jambo ambalo lingefanywa kuhusu maisha yangu yaliyopita, yaliyopo na yajayo. Nilikuwa na picha mbaya kujihusu, na ikaathiri maisha yangu ya kila siku, pamoja na mwono wangu wa siku zijazo.

Leo unaweza kukubali upendo wa Mungu juu yako na uufanye upendo wake msingi wa kujipenda na kujikubali. Pokea hakikisho lake, ukijua kwamba unabadilika na kuwa vile anavyotamani uwe. Halafu uanze kujifurahisha—ulipo—ukiwa njiani kuelekea ukomavu mkamilifu wa kiroho.

Acha Mungu awe Mungu katika maisha yako. Mweke katika kiti cha dereva. Anajua analofanya.

Umngoje Bwana, uwe hodari, upige moyo konde, naam umngoje Bwana. —ZABURI 27:14

Tukimngoja Mungu, hatuwi wavivu au kukosa kujishughulisha, lakini kwa kweli tunajishughulisha kabisa kiroho. Huenda tusiwe “tunafanya” kitu, lakini tunamwamini Mungu kufanya yanayohitajika kufanywa. Kwa maneno mengine, tunasema, “Bwana, sitajaribu kufanya haya kwa nguvu zangu. Nitakungoja uniokoe. Na nitaendelea kufurahia maisha yangu huku nikikungoja.”

Shetani anataka tusikitike kutokana na kujaribu kutatua matatizo yetu wenyewe. Anachukia furaha yetu. Anataka kuona kitu kingine lakini si furaha, kwa sababu furaha ya Bwana ni nguvu zetu (Nehemia 8:10). Wasiwasi huiba furaha yetu, lakini furaha hututia nguvu.

Huwa tunajaribiwa kufikiri hatufanyi yanayotupasa kufanya tusipokuwa na wasiwasi au kutafuta jibu la matatizo yetu, lakini hili litazuia wokovu wetu badala ya kuusaidia. 

Si kutowajibika kufurahia maisha huku tukimngoja Mungu na kumtarajia kufanya kile tusichojua kukifanya!

Usihofu kwa kuwa vita si vyako, ni vya Bwana.

How To Receive A Touch From God

If I had the opportunity to preach just one last time. If I wrote just one last blog. If I was to sit and have coffee with you and could share anything with you that you could take to heart for the rest of your life, it would be what you are about to read.
Do you want a “touch” from God? Do you want a breakthrough in your walk with God? Do you long to know the Father’s love, the beauty of Jesus and the communion experienced with the Holy Spirit? Maybe you need a breakthrough in your marriage, finances, job, or just life in general? I want to tell you today that now is not the time to back up or back down—but to break through!  I want to share a few thoughts with you regarding the following verses. Let’s pick up the story of Jacob at verse 22:
Genesis 32:22-27 “And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok. He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had.  Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.  Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.  And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
I pray that your heart is wide open to receive what God has for you today.
“And he arose…”
The very first thing that Jacob did in this story is arise. He had to get up and do something. He could not just sit back and watch his destiny pass him by. He arose. And the very first thing that we must do if we want God to touch us is that we have to arise.
Arise from complacency and lethargy. Arise from religious mindsets. Arise out of sin. Arise from depression, discouragement and disappointment. We must arise. Arise from a wounded or offended heart. Arise from our sickness and pain. Arise from deep within. You know that feeling. It’s an internal resolve that I am going to get up and move forward in God or die trying. We have to arise and:
“…lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…” Heb. 12:1
You have to do something. You have to make a change. You have to arise. Same ole same ole has never worked for anybody. If you want to really encounter God and see changes in every area of your life—you must arise.

God wants you—and you alone. God has been trying to get you to be by yourself and talk with you for quite some time. There are times and seasons in our lives where we have to tell even our own families, I need to be alone from “this time to this time” because I have to meet with God. That kind of dialogue needs to be restored to our homes. Where’s dad? Seeking God. Where’s Mom? Spending time alone with God.
It’s that important. It’s keeping the first commandment, first place. To love Him with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength. Jacob not only sent over his family but he sent over what he had. “Stuff.” There are many things that we do or have in life or that we are even a part of that we also need to “send over”. Maybe for you it’s TV, Netflix, social media, overworking, or just being too busy. Send it over with your family and get alone with God.
You may say, I just don’t have that kind of time to get alone and seek the Lord. Tell that to Jesus and He will find time for you…trust me.
“…and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.  Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.  And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
Jacob wrestled with this Heavenly being all through the night. He did not give up. Did you hear me? HE DID NOT GIVE UP! We have to learn the art of praying and pushing through until we get the answer. The old saints of God knew this well. You pray—until the answer comes or at least the assurance of the answer. Period.
We live in a society that demands results right now and we know that that is not how God operates. We have to take the time to seek Him with all of our hearts, no matter how long it takes. How long should I seek the Lord? Until you find Him. Until He touches you. Until you’re changed from the inside out. Until…
you limp.
Jacob had been known for his self-preservation and self-reliance and that all changed in this encounter. When he returned to his family, he was not the same. You know his family had to wonder what happened to him—why this limp. Jacob probably said something like, “I’m changed. I am not the same man that I was before. God touched me.”
You see when you really get ahold of God and He touches you, your wife will know it. Your husband will know it. Your kids will know it. Your family will know it. Your friends will know it. Your church family will know it. The place you work will know it. The people you hang out with will know it. The world will know it. Because God has touched you.
You don’t even have to say a word. They will see it. They will know it. You’re different. You don’t act the same. You don’t talk the same. You have more love than you ever had. You have more humility than you ever had. You are walking in a new place in God. There is a Heavenly fragrance around you. You have a fresh joy. You have hope and purpose. You have fire in your eyes and compassion in your heart.
All because you did something that many never get to do—conquer God! That’s right. When you wrestle with your past, present and future—when you wrestle God about your finances and your family. When you hang on and push through regarding your healing and emotions, God allows Himself to be conquered by you—though you are the one that leaves with the limp. Ultimately we are no match for the God of the universe. Yet, in His infinite wisdom and great love for us, He allows Himself to be captured, captivated and conquered by our sincere heart and wholehearted pursuit.
And once you wrestle with God and prevail, you have found a new place in God that is far beyond anything you have ever dreamed or imagined. It’s a wonderful place to be. More than that, it’s a wonderful place to live! And don’t just stop with one, two, or three wrestling matches. Don’t settle. Keep pursuing for more of Him. We will never exhaust what can be encountered in Him.
Beloved, never, ever stop going hard after God.

In the Beginning


We live in a beautiful world! Just look at the amazing things around you. Let’s go back to the beginning and see what the Bible tells us about how it all began.
In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth. God moved over the darkness and said, “Light!” He called the light “Day” and He called the darkness “Night.”


Day One! Done!

Then God made a space to separate the waters above from the waters below. He called the space “Sky.”


Day Two! Done!

God gathered the waters together, and dry ground appeared. He called the ground “Land” and the waters “Seas.” Then He made plants like grass, grain and trees.


Day Three! Done!

Then God made lights in the sky. He made the sun for the day, the moon for the night, and all the stars.


Day Four! Done!

God made fish to swim in the waters and birds to fly in the sky. 
“Have babies!” He told them. “Fill the world with splashing and singing.”



Day Five! Done!

Next, God made animals. He made farm animals, wild animals, and animals that crawl on the ground.


“Just one more thing to make,” God said, “the most special thing of all.”

So, in His image, God made man and woman.


“Have babies,” He said. “Take charge of the world. Care for the fish, the birds and the animals.”



Day Six! Done!

Then God looked at everything He had made.


“It’s very good!” He said. So on the seventh day he rested and made that day special.

Je wewe  ni mtu mwenye furaha? Au hofu na hatia huondoa  furaha yako yote? Je,ungetamani kuondoa hatia yako, lakini  kwa njia gani? Huenda unajiuliza , je, nitakuwa mwenye furaha tena?.
 Ninayo habari   njema kwa ajili yako. Kuna mtu mmoja awezae kukusudia , kusamehe dhambi zako , na kukupa furaha  ya daima. Jina lake ni Yesu. Ngoja nikuambie habari zake.
Mungu ndiye huyo mmoja aliyeumba ulimwengu . Vyote aliviumba ulimwenguni. Alikuumba wewe na mimi.
Mungu akupenda . yeye humpenda kila mmoja ulimwengu. Mungu atupenda sabna hata alimtuma Yesu mwanae pekee ulimwenguni. Yesu alipokuwa hapa Duniani aliponya wagonjwa; aliwafariji wenye huzuni. Alifungua macho vipofu . Aliwafundisha watu mambo mengi. Tusome  habari katika Biblia.
Yesu alitutaka tuelewe upendo mkubwa alio nao Baba yake kwa ajili yako na mimi. Alisema hadithi hii iliyoelezea upendo huo nao Baba yake.  Mtu mmoja aliishi mjini kwa furaha na wana wake wawili alidhani yote ni salama . Siku moja , mmoja wa wana wake aliasi na kumwambia, spendi mji huu, nataka kufuata njia yangu mwenyewe na kuondoka. Nigawie urithi wangu.  Baba aliuzunika sana , lakini alimpa fedha  na kumruhusu aende . Alijiuliza, je, nitamwona mwanangu tena? Kwa nini mwana alikuwa muasi hivyo?
Mwana alienda mbali na kujifurahisha kwa hela yake na rafiki zake. Alifuja fedha zake na kufanya mabaya mengi. Alidhani amepata wakati mzuri hata kwa ghafla fedha zake ziliisha na rafiki zake walimwacha. Kisha walimwaacha yeye pekee na ailjiona mwenye hatia sana  je, angefanya nini?
Alimwendea mkulima alimpeleka kuchunga nguruwe. Hakupewa chakula cha kutosha. Alikuwa na njaa sana hivyo alitamani kula chakula cha nguruwe . Alianza kufikilia maovu yote aliyofanya na jinsi alivyomtendea Baba yake.  Alizidi kupata uchungu zaidi.
Siku moja ,alikumbuka Baba yake jinsi alivyokuwa mwenye upendo na jisi alivyopendwa alipokuwa nyumbani. Alifikiri je, ningerudi  kwa Baba yangu baada ya kumtendea haya yote? Je, bado angenipenda ? sistaili kuwa mwana  wake. Ikiwa angenipokea ningekuwa tu kama mjakazi wake nyumbani kwake.
Kwa ghafla alisismama na kuanza safari ya kurudi nyumbani kwa Baba yake . Angeona kama Baba yake bado angempenda .  Baba alitamani mwana wake tangu alipotoka. Alijiuliza , je, mwana wangu atarudi tena?
Baadaye siku moja alimwona mtu yuko mbali anakuja. je, anaweza kuwa mwanangu? Alimkimbilia na kumkaribisha nyumbani kwa mikono ya ukarimu. Alisema , mwanangu huyu alipotea lakini sasa amepatikana. Sisi sote tumekuwa kama huyu mwana , sote tumetoka kwa Baba yetu mbinguni. Tumeharibu muda na mema yote ambayo ametupa . Tumefanya maovu na kumwasi leo,  Baba yetu wa Mbinguni anatutaka tumrudie .
Anatungojea kwa mikono ya ukarimu . Je, tunaelewa upendo alio nao Yesu kwa ajili yetu? Baada ya kufundisha hapa Duniani  kwa miaka mitatu , aliwaacha watu waovu kumpingilia misumari msalabani. Aliona maumivu na kuachwa alipokuwa anakufa na kumwaga Damu yake kama Sadaka kwa ajili ya dhambi za Dunia yote.
Tunapokwenda kwa Baba , tunamwomba atusamehe Dhambi yetu. Atuonapo tumehuzunikia Dhambi zetu kwa Damu yake aliyomwaga .  Jinsi gani njia hii ilivyo ya ajabu. Yesu amekuwa Mwokozi wetu. Tumezaliwa upya na kuwa mtu mpya. Uzima unayo njia mpya . Yesu amebadilisha hatia  na hofu yetu kwa furaha na shangwe.

Whether you’re searching for God or a longtime believer, there’s a good chance you have questions about prayer. How exactly are you supposed to pray? And why should you do it? Here are some guidelines from Billy Graham.

How Do I Talk to God?

Billy Graham: Prayer is simply talking to God—and the most important thing I can say about this is that God wants you to talk to Him! He loves us and He has promised to hear us when we pray. How can you learn to pray? First, understand why prayer is possible.
Prayer is possible because Jesus Christ has removed the barrier between us and God—a barrier caused by our sins. You see, sin separates us from God, and because of that we have no right to come before Him. But by His death on the cross, Christ paid the penalty for our sins and removed the barrier. God then gives us the privilege of coming into His presence when we commit our lives to Christ.
The Bible says, “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). If you have never done so, ask Christ to come into your life today.
Then understand that God now welcomes you into His presence and promises to hear you—and He cannot lie. The Bible says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14). Trust His promises and learn to bring every concern to Him in prayer.
Does God only hear us when we pray out loud or does He hear silent prayers also? Please forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I didn’t grow up in a religious home and have just become a Christian.
Billy Graham: Don’t be embarrassed to ask questions when you don’t understand something about the Christian life; after all, God wants you to come to know Him more and more each day. Jesus’ disciples repeatedly asked for His help, and so should we. On one occasion they said, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1).
Yes, God hears our prayers on all occasions, whether we’re praying out loud or praying silently in our hearts and minds. After all, He knows all about us and knows what is going on inside us—both good and bad. The Bible says that God “judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). The Bible also says, “The Lord detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him” (Proverbs 15:26).
God even hears our prayers when we can’t even put them into words—times, for example, when our hearts are too burdened or confused even to speak. The Bible says, “the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express” (Romans 8:26).
One of God’s greatest gifts to us is the privilege of prayer—a privilege that is possible because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Thank God for the privilege of prayer and learn daily to “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
Does God really answer prayers?
Billy Graham: Prayer is one of our greatest privileges as God’s children, and even if God doesn’t seem to answer your prayers at first, don’t stop praying. God loves you, and no prayer goes unanswered.
Jesus once told a story about a poor widow who repeatedly asked a corrupt judge to do what was right. (You can read it in Luke 18:1-8.) Repeatedly the judge refused—not because her request was wrong, but because he just didn’t care.
But because of her persistence, he eventually gave in and granted her what she deserved. In a far greater way, Jesus said, God (who is righteous and does care for us) hears the prayers of His people, and we must never give up.
But let me add two things. First, realize that sometimes God is actually answering our prayers when we don’t realize it—and the reason is because His answer may be “No” or “Wait.” Yes, we think we know what’s best for us—but God sees the whole picture, and sometimes He lovingly refuses to give us what we request, because He knows it isn’t according to His perfect plan.
Second, remember that we have the privilege of coming to God only because Jesus Christ died for our sins. Have you given your life to Him? If not, let your first prayer be one of confession and faith, asking Him to come into your life as your Lord and Savior.

Most of us don’t like to think about death, let alone talk about it. It’s a frightening subject. But at one time or another we’ve all been touched by death, suffering the loss of a relative, friend, neighbor, or someone else in our lives.

Though we try to prolong life, no one can escape death. When death’s final summons comes to us, everyone—rich or poor, strong or weak, famous or unknown—must surrender.
Death is not only frightening in its inevitability and power but also in its mysteriousness. What happens when life as we know it ends? What awaits us in the great unknown beyond death? The Bible aptly says that all our life long, we’re held in slavery by the fear of death.
Yet our loving Creator, the living God, did not intend for us to die. From the very beginning He wanted to share His eternal life with us.
Then where did death come from? Death is the consequence of sin injected into mankind by God’s enemy, Satan. When God created man He intended for him to receive His life. But before man could receive the life of God, the devil, Satan, deceived and poisoned him with his own sinful nature. As a result, our human spirit, created to contact God, became deadened; our human soul, especially our mind, became an enemy to God; and our human body, created by God as a pure vessel, became polluted with sin, doomed to physically die.
Physical death, however, is not the end. The Bible also tells us it is reserved for men to die once, and after this comes judgment. What will we be judged by God for? Most importantly, we will be judged based on whether or not we have believed in Jesus Christ, the One who died for our sins and overcame death to free us eternally from its power. If we do not believe in Him, we will face the second death, which is the lake of fire, perishing in eternal torment.
Who is Jesus Christ? He is the very God who became a man of flesh and blood and lived a sinless life. He then died on the cross for us sinners. But three days after being crucified, He resurrected from the dead. He defeated the power of death! By dying for us, He solved the problem of our sins. By resurrecting from the dead, He broke the power of death over us.
Christ is living now and forever. In resurrection, He became the life-giving Spirit, who is now available to everyone. As the Spirit He can come into us with His victorious, death-conquering life. When we receive the resurrected Christ by believing in Him, He makes our spirit alive with His eternal life today and delivers us from the second, eternal, death in the future.
Christ spoke these words of promise: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live.”
The Lord Jesus wants to free you from the fear of death and give you the hope of eternal life. Open your heart and pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins on the cross. I believe You resurrected from the dead. Thank You for coming to give me eternal life. I receive You as my Savior and my life. Come into me, Lord! Amen.”
